Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic
The Chester County SPCA is sponsoring a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic today (Wednesday, May 21) from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the shelter at 1212 Phoenixville Pike in West Chester.
The one-year rabies vaccinations, which cost $7, will be administered by Carol Caracand, VMD. State law requires rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats over three months of age.
The Chester County SPCA also will be selling 2008 Chester County dog licenses. The licenses cost $6.50 for spayed and neutered dogs and $8.50 for dogs that have not been spayed or neutered. Licenses are required by law for dogs over the age of three months.
The vaccinations will be available to pets from throughout the tri-state area. Dog licenses will only be available to residents of Chester County.
All pets brought to the rabies vaccination clinic should be on a leash or in a carrier. Appointments are not necessary. For additional information, call 610-692-6113.
