Low-Cost Rabies Clinic
The Chester County SPCA is sponsoring a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic today (Monday, July 14) from 4 to 6 p.m. at the shelter at 1212 Phoenixville Pike in West Chester.
The one-year rabies vaccines, which cost $7, will be administered by Larry Dieter, VMD, director of veterinary services at the Chester County SPCA. Rabies vaccines are required by law for all dogs and cats over three months of age.
The Chester County SPCA will also be selling 2008 Chester County dog licenses at the clinic. Dog licenses are $6.50 for dogs that have been spayed and neutered and $8.50 for dogs that have not been spayed and neutered. Licenses are required by law for all dogs over three months of age.
Rabies vaccines will be available to pets from throughout the tri-state area. Dog licenses will only be available to residents of Chester County.
Animals brought to the clinic should be on a leash or in a carrier. Appointments are not necessary. For additional information, call 610-692-6113.
