REPORT/RECLAIM LOST PET
To report a lost pet, call the SPCA 610-692-6113 ext. 226 and provide us with the following information:
- Owner's name
- Owner's address
- Home and work phone number
- Area in which the animal was lost
- Animal's size
- Animal's coat description
- Description of animal's ears
- Description of animal's tail
- Animal's breed
- Animal's sex
- Animal's age
- Animal's color
- Animal's name
- Date that animal was lost
- Any other distinguishing features, collar/tags
After filing all of the above information with us we will keep a lost report on file. If anyone calls that has found an animal matching that description we will refer him or her to the owner.
The lost reports are checked each time a stray comes to the SPCA. If an animal is brought in that matches your existing lost report, we will call you. After we call you, you can come to the SPCA to identify the animal. If it is your pet, we will have you complete some forms and pay an owner claim fee; then you can take your pet back home.
When you are an owner claiming an animal it is important to bring current rabies inoculation and dog license information with you to the shelter.
