Dog Training Tips
Ignore jumping behavior by not petting or touching your dog when he jumps on you. Cross your arms and turn your back on your dog to show you are not happy with his behavior. Only touch your dog when all four paws are on the floor.

To keep your dog from barking all the time train your dog to bark only when it is appropriate. Interrupt the barking by distracting your dog. Drop a plastic bottle full of pennies or rocks somewhere near it. When your dog stops barking, praise him by saying, "Good dog!" Spend time playing with your dog, too. Dogs that don't get enough attention are more likely to bark to get attention, or because they are bored. Finally, give your dog toys to play with when you are not home.
